IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR UKRAINIANS ENTERING SLOVAK REPUBLIC

After the Russia’s invasion into the territory of Ukraine amendments to the laws, also known as “Lex Ukraine”, were adopted in Slovakia.

The aim of the amendments is mainly to facilitate the situation associated with the mass arrival of people fleeing the war. The adopted measures help Ukrainians in their daily functions and make it easier for them to find employment in the Slovak labour market for example emigrants from Ukraine are not payers of local taxes for accommodation, a dog and for municipal waste. Furthermore, the validity of the foreigner’s stay was extended until the expiration of two months from the cancellation of the emergency situation.
